Xshell Highlight Sets [cracked] · Limited & Plus

Highlight sets are essentially a collection of or keywords that Xshell monitors in real-time. When a string matching your criteria appears on the screen, Xshell automatically applies a specific background or text color to it.

While matching exact words like SUCCESS or FAILED is helpful, real-world log data is dynamic. Xshell supports Regular Expressions (Regex), allowing you to match variable data patterns like IP addresses, timestamps, and UUIDs.

Unlike static themes that colorize the entire terminal background, highlight sets act dynamically on individual words or lines. Key Technical Benefits

This is by design. Xshell applies highlighting during rendering. If you scroll back, the highlights remain unless the terminal buffer is cleared. To permanently capture highlighted text, use File > Log > Start to log the session to a file.

Click and save the configuration file (usually in .ini or JSON-based format depending on your XShell version) to your local drive.

Isolate specific IP addresses, status codes (e.g., HTTP 404 or 500 ), or user IDs in dense log files.

Once you’ve developed effective Highlight Sets, consider sharing them with the community. Post your .hls files on:

You have two options:

For advanced users, Xshell supports Regular Expressions (Regex) in keywords. This is powerful for dynamic data.

Toggle if the highlight should be case-sensitive.
